Tether Clip

With the Tether clip, ITW has developed a strong metal fastener with a long textile tether which allows upper trims to safely detach a larger distance from car body when airbags are deployed. 
It’s an easy to install clipping system which guarantees a high performance. 
The single component design and the tether made of same fabric as the airbag result in significant cost savings. 

iSafe QC

This compact Quick Connector solution includes a Poka-Yoka DMC to ensure a correct connection. 
Even in very limited spaces, the correct assembly can be checked easily. 
The modular design can be adapted to every connection situation. 
ITW’s iSafe QC provides an increased assembly safety, mitigates risk of leakage and saves rework time. 

Inward Moving Charge

Smooth aesthetics play an important role for electric vehicles (EVs). 
A clean, sleek design visually communicates innovation and modernity, aligning with advanced technologies and correlating with aerodynamic efficiency. ITW presents an innovative type of charge port lid. The low weight, small sized solution is moving towards the inner side of the car body and so provides a clean appearance. The kinematic components are almost “invisible”.  
Light modules with switch function and sensors for lid position can be integrated. 

Lightweight Brackets

Lightweight products are crucial for modern vehicles due to several key reasons, e.g. Fuel Efficiency, Reduction of emissions and battery efficiency in EVs. 
With these important factors in mind, ITW develops and produces robust, high quality brackets by replacing metal with plastic and using recycled material with up to 70% recycling content. 
Additional weight reduction can be realized by foaming and an FEA optimized topology.
